How We Work

At a designated time and day, a Shop Ahoy volunteer will contact each client for their specific, detailed grocery order which will be individually shopped and delivered. Our volunteers shop weekly at local Vons stores and take advantage of Vons Club prices.
When the groceries are delivered, the client will receive the register receipt for their order. A donation to cover the costs of operation is suggested. Clients will not be refused service if they can not donate. A check issued to “Shop Ahoy” is the preferred payment method. Shop Ahoy volunteers develop close bonds of trust and friendship with our clients through their personal contact.
